Microsoft is not only the king of OS, but also a leader in enterprise solutions.

Their competitive pricing structure made them a suitable partner of SMEs, large enterprises and even independent professionals. From free web apps to cloud hosting to unified communications to server management, Microsoft is the archetype in building modern office environments.
On its own words, “Microsoft is reimagining the enterprise in a digital age.”
If you’re up for business or just planning to work at the comfort of your home, you’ve have to evaluate the Microsoft Server 2013 portfolio and see if it can be really a good fit.
I am not, in any way, connected to Microsoft but I’m here to guide every buyer out there who wants to experience more of Microsoft on their computing devices.
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the Microsoft’s Server 2013 portfolio.
Exchange Server 2013
To get a good grasp on how Microsoft can build your business from ground to top, you have to figure out how Exchange Server 2013 works.
Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 is a mail server, calendaring software, and contact manager available on PC, phone and browser. For new businesses who want to deploy Server 2013 on your own server infrastructures, you have to undergo first on series of planning exercises and deployment trainings. Microsoft is complete with resources for that. They will teach you on how to plan and execute active directory service deployment, storage configuration, virtualization, and software program integration.
A great alternative to avoid these hassles is the Exchange Server in the cloud. It is called the Exchange Online and it hosted on Microsoft’s own servers. The basic plan will give you access to 50 GB mailbox, to Outlook web app, and to shared calendar and contacts.
SharePoint Server 2013
Integrating intranet, content management and document management systems into a single platform using SharePoint Server 2013 is now a simple IT job. This web app is now part of the Office 365 Suites for Enterprises. Clients can choose the stand-alone subscription plan, and for large deployments, the on-premise standard and enterprise licensing options.
With SharePoint, your business can have access to powerful web apps. You can also leverage the power of collaboration, business intelligence, search engine, and content management tools.
Project Server 2013
Microsoft Project Server 2013 is a flexible on-premise solution for project portfolio management (PPM). This solution can only run on SharePoint server clusters. Once deployed, you can then use the Project Web App (PWA) to access the Project Server online on any devices.
Project Server is also available in the cloud. Existing Office 365 clients have the option to add Project Pro for Office 365 on their subscription plan. This app works on almost all types of devices and browsers.
With Project Server 2013 and Project Pro for Office 365, your project management team can effectively and efficiently work together in the management of works, demands, resources, schedules, financials, tasks and time, issues and risks, and programs.
Lync Server 2013
If you’re looking for a unified client for real-time communications, a web app that allows PC and Mac users to join an online meeting, and an app that easily connects with Skype, then that business solution is no other than the Lync Server 2013.
Lync is available as a stand-alone service or as part of an Office 365 for Enterprises suite, the Lync Online. Building a collaborative virtual environment can also be made possible via the Lync Web App.
With Lync, you and your organization can enjoy 1:1 and multiparty instant messaging, voice and HD video calling, and desktop, application and white board sharing.
Apps for Office
This web app store extends the functionality of SharePoint and Office products. Just like in any other app store, downloading and installing the web apps to your SharePoint site and Office tool is easy.
The fastest way for you to experience the full capability of these solutions is through the Office 365 Suite. The home edition is available in Home, Personal, and Office Online plans. The Business edition includes Business Essentials, Business, Business Premium, ProPlus, Enterprise E1, Enterprise E3, and Enterprise E4 plans. Office 365 University and IT Resources options for students and IT professionals are also available.
